THE CREATIVE HUB
This proposal intends to create a social place in which both the existing heterogeneous communities of Whitechapel and the new incoming, "creative class" can cooperate in productive ways.
The Creative Hub will link the different creative groups in the area with the wider local community, empowering the latter, supporting civic pride and building a broader sense of creativity and production in the neighboorhood.
A new sequence of connected small public spaces, extending the public scope of the new Whitechapel masterplan, will introduce workshops, co-working spaces, exhibition and event spaces, supporting creative and collaborative practices that are currently at risk of expulsion due to the ongoing regeneration proposals.
